Family troubles..please read?

ok so tonight i was taking our family cat out to go pee and my parents were also sitting where i was taking it to pee. i had a trowel, to help the cat dig holes in the dirt to go pee in {the cat is 2 months old so it needed some help} and my dad told me to stop..then my mom and dad kinda got into it [this isnt the 1st time ofcourse] then i all of a suddon started crying when my mom mentioned something. my mom went in and so did i, both of us crying..my mom told me to stop and dont worry about him..so i took a bath to calm down and i started crying again thinking about the conversation so i dryed and my mom comforted me
i love my mom and pets but the rest of my realitives act like total asses! anyways my question is what can i do to make my dad change..he has guy friends but never spends anytime with my mom and me. he seems like hes jealous of a GREAT realationship that i dont seem to have with him
so tell me what i should do based on this story to turn this situation around thanks!
