my family member doesnt like me?

I have a family member that i havent seen or spoken to since childhood. It wasnt that i didnt want a relationship with them but because i was a child and my parents completly stopped speaking to that side of the family. That was over 10 years ago. Then i found a family member on the internet and started talking with him online. Everything was good and all, but now he just seems like im bothering him when i write to him and it seems like he just doesnt want anything to do with me at all. I dont write to him all the time so it's nothing like that, but when i write to see how hes doing he just doesnt say nothin at all and really doesnt even respond more that a feww words that dont make sense! So what should i do and how do i really know if he just doesnt want anything to do with me or my family?????

well people remember things from the past and possibly he is trying to get over it, and he most likly wonders what your motive is, so just take it slow, and hopefully things will work out, but if you come on too strong he may not wish to continue at all, SLOW AND EASY, OK, GOOD LUCK!

If he is only responding to you with a few words, then in all probability he doesn't want to continue the relationship such as it is... I would stop all communication. He knows how to contact you if he wants to maintain it.

I would ask him out right. Obviously there are going to be issues and you probably should resolve them. Ask him point-blank if he wants to have a relationship of any kind with you. There isn't a reason for you to continue trying if he's not willing to try.

You shouldn't stop talking to him. Apologize, if it's your parents' fault, you shouldn't be blamed! He needs time to heal, I mean, it seems that over 10 years, he'd have enough time. But it's opposite. He may feel like after 10 years of no communication, you just think you can make it better. Maybe he doesn't, but it could be possible. It's not your fault though!!! If he can't see that, then maybe you should leave him be if it IS what he wants.
