creative family tree?

Ok, i need some ideas on how to make my family tree more creative, i have to have 10 people on it, and i am doing my parents, grandparents, and brothers/sisters.
Should i do it on poster board or something else?
what kind of design?
Colors?
ect....
it has to be reasonable size. not bigger than about poster board size please.

If you have any artistic ability, it's always nice to draw a really gnarled and knobby tree as your framework - and then add the names to it. since it's a rather short time span (only three generations) you could actually do it as something other than a "tree" - more like a twisty vine of some sort or even a series of roads branching off from & joining up with one another - you could put names on the actual roads - or you could all have your own little "car" that's driving on the road - you could even make the cars be different to represent different people's lives or personalities (an old jalopy, a sports car, a tractor)

Then of course there's always the idea of using a more unusual medium - like some type of "fiber art" - a simple quilt or embroidered cloth - a sculpture ... the possibilities are limitless
