In the Sims 2 can you move a family or a sim from one neighbourhood to another?

Is it possible to do, without losing any of their skills, memories, relations etc.?

Ok, let's say you want to move a family from Pleasantview to Strangetown:

1. Go to Lots and Houses bin in the Neighborhood screen UI
2. Click the "Add Lot to Lots and Houses bin" tool
3. Add the house of the family you want to move to the bin
4. Leave the neighborhood and enter the neighborhood you want them to move into.
5. Open the Lots and Houses bin.
6. Place the family wherever you like.
Done!

WARNING: The family will lose ALL relationships with anyone who is OUTSIDE the family. So if Suzie's mom didn't live in the house with Suzie when she moved, she'll lose the relationship with her mom. But if they meet again, Suzie will still recognize her as family.

They keep their skills, jobs, family tree, etc.

First you evict them but do not bulldoze there house, click on the neighborhood as you wish and click the family, they will appear when you click o pick Sim then move them in.
