Is the 2004 Dodge Neon a good family car?

THIS IS FOR THOSE WHO HAVE//HAD ONE PLEASE

I have a 10 mo. old baby and my husband stumbled across an '04 Neon. We havent checked it out yet, and its at a great price. But before we even check it out I would like to ask if its even a good car for a family?

Is it safe? Comfortable on long trips? Does it break down alot? If you wrecked in it, how bad was it... did the car hold up? ETC, ETC, ETC.... From a parents point of view, would you trust your family in this car?
