Does anyone know of a Bipolar Family Support Group in the Macomb County...

...area? Oakland or Wayne? The love of my life (my live-in boyfriend) has Bipolar II. He's a Vet and treats through the VA Hospital, which offers nothing for family or loved one's support. I'm learning all I can through books and online but I know therapy is crucial for both of us. Sometimes it's difficult for me to distinguish what is Bipolar and what is, well, just bad behavior. Financially, we are unable to pay for therapy and, even for his therapy, the VA has been slow to get it started. He's on meds, but we have been waiting for seven months for therapy to start through the VA Hospital and there is still no start date or even an estimated date. Many days, I'm at my wit's end. I have spoken with his doctor, but he tends to just explain the text book version. I've gone on some online sites and joined discussions, but this wasn't too helpful since very few on the sites are the persons dealing with the loved one with Bipolar, only those with the disease. Those that were dealing with it were negative.
