Changemelord has a spectacular aura about
Would it be rude to skip having Easter dinner with my family this year?

I have really enjoyed not having to worry about holiday dinners (since Christmas) but they are approaching and I know I am going to have to deal with it. My mom's side of the family is very family oriented and we usually get together and eat every single holiday. My mom doesn't live here so it's usually just me, my aunts and my grandmother. Since I moved back almost five years ago it's almost like they expect me to attend family dinners. They don't ask if I'm coming, they ask what I'm bringing. Also, I am usually responsible for picking up my grandmother and aunts to go to my other aunts house for dinner.

This has caused me a lot of stress because they are older and usually want to stay out for hours, which means I don't have the liberty to go elsewhere to visit if I want to. Also, I can't just get up and leave when I'm ready because I have people to drop off. Also, I love my mom's side to death. We are all very close. But they have left a bad taste in my mouth ...
