I'm Bi and most people know but my family........?

Does anyone have advice how to tell them. I'm 16 and I'm bi. i found this out when i was twelve. My dads side would be fine with it but my moms side of the family is different. They are really religious and don't like it one bit and i haven't told them mostly because i know how they will react. My uncle told me that all gays are going to hell whether i believe it or not and i usually stay at his house when i go down to Stockton. It is really hard for me to get up the courage and tell them because im afraid that they will act really bad tward me or try to "fix" me. What should i do? Maybe i should wait to tell them or do i tell them sooner then later. I don't know.

Number one, it is not your uncle's place to judge who is going to heaven and who is going to hell and being that he is religious he should know that

Number two your family may not like your choice, but being that they are family they should love and support you no matter what. Anyone that is a true Christian should know that we are to love one another and to not point fingers and judge regardless of whether or not the lifestyle is acceptable.

You should tell them before they find out because you know that sooner or later they will find out. Someone will end up spilling the beans OR they will figure it out.

They can try to "fix " you all they want and remember that they are doing it out of love, so don't be so hard there, but your choice is your choice,at the same time being that you're only 16 your parents do have the say about what goes on in your life still.

Haha, I'm seventeen, and I still haven't told my parents yet, and pretty much for the same reasons, too! My thoughts are that when somebody is ready to know, and I'm ready to tell them, then I will. =3
