I want to move closer to family and husband won't?

My husband flies for a major airline. He is gone 3-4 nights a week. We have 2 small children. This lifestyle has started to take its toll on me and I would like to move closer to my family for help and support. We currently live in his domicile city where it is easy for him to get to work. We have great neighbors and like our neighborhood, but I am miserable here. Especially on nights when he is gone and I feel like a single parent. (My prayers and kudos go out to anyone who is one....its a tough job) We both come from military backgrounds and are used to moving around a lot, but he is vehemently against the move. He says he doesn't want to commute and add to his time away from the family. He also hates Louisiana and isn't too fond of my family. I feel like the move is the only thing that can save my sanity and I am scared to death that my marriage may not survive. Does anyone have similar situation that they have resolved or any ideas?
