Community college financial aid?

I'm a junior at a university right now and every year I get a lot of extra money from fasfa for living expenses, however this next year I am taking a year off to get my basic done at a less expensive community college. Does anyone know if cost of living expenses will be included in my aid for a community college?

I went to a CC for two years. I was an independant student. I got the max amount which was $2, 275 a semester. By the time I paid for my books/tuition I got about a thousand back each time. The aid doesn't include the summer so if you plan on attending then you need to save the money you get back.

living expenses will be included. The aid will be reduced though because community colleges are alot less expensive. I would expect a small cut in this extra money but when I went to a community college I had alot left over in finacial aid as well.

You need to check with the communtiy college to make sure you don't have too many hours to recieve financial aid there. The max you can "attempt" at a univeristy is higher than at a community college and if you are already considered a junior in a university setting you may get nothing at all at a junior college. Call the community college fin aid office to be sure.... most will cut off all federal grants and even loans at 90 attempted hours or so.

And regarding living expenses being included it depends on if you are considering "loans" fin aid and how expensive the school is. Some people get enough aid to cover everything, some don't.
Good luck.

It should be included, you may not get as much because you're going to a cheaper school but it should still be included.
