| Financial aid elegible non citizen? Hi I just started the process to get my permanent residency, USCIS already received my forms and money. I a;ready have the date for the biometric appoinment. I would like to know if now I can be considered an "elegible non citizen" since I intend to apply for state financial aid to pay for college expenses. The deadline for the bright future scholarships is May 30th, can I apply now and be considered an elegible non citizen? or I'm not elegible until they finally stamp the I551 on my passport? I know that you need a SS # for the federal financial aid, the SS# is still some weeks maybe months away from me but right now Im interested in the state financial aid here in Florida and deadline is May 30!      |
