declare financial dependence from ur parents, even if they continue to help support u.
ull hav to get a job, and ur parents will hav to stop showing u as dependant in their taxes.
b4 u do this try to figure an estimate of how much ur college gives to financially independent and needy students and how much ur parents wont get back from taxes. usually though, this is a pretty favorable and legal way to try to maximize ur financial aid.
hav u considered studying ur ass off and getting as much scholarship money as u can?

Well that all depends, If you maintained above a 3.0 Grade point average during highschool you will qualify for special scholarships, then fill out the Government form that shows if you qualify for government grants (you can pick those up in the college office). The grants will be based on your income and possibly your parents income so the more broke you are the more you get.....
