Associates Should I get 2 or 1? I attend Macomb Community College, and am planning to transfer to a university. I qualify to get my Associates of Arts and my Associates in General Studies. Should I get both degrees, or should I stick with just one? Will having 2 degrees lessen my chance of getting financial aid, and will it backfire on me in the long run?I want to continue my education, and get a Bachelors in Nursing, and also get a Bachelors in Psychology... What do you think?

Associates Should I get 2 or 1? Well it comes to financial aid I think there is a limit to the credits and years. It is a lot of work to continue and get 2 degrees. If you can do it go for it. I have A.A. and going to get my BA in Psychology... Now I wished I got my Associate in Nursing and went for Psychology anyways or continue Nursing.

Associates Should I get 2 or 1? I think your financial aid questions are more suited for the financial aid office of the university you are going to attend. Make an appt.; go in with a list of questions and you'll get answers straight from the source. One question for you: why do you want to get a bachelors in psychology AND nursing? If you plan on being a psychiatric nurse, you do not need both. Unfortunately, you can't do a lot with just a bach. degree in Psychology, but the field of nursing is WIDE open. Get the degree/pass the boards and you pick what you want to do. That is the beauty of nursing; and health care is where everyone should want to be. It's an unfortunate "sure thing" in our society. There will always be sick people out there. I hope that you go into nursing and that it's something you have a passion for. We really need some good and caring nurse's. Good Luck!
