Do I have grounds for a lawsuit? Every one in my high school had to complete the precollege program. That means I should get the ACG through FAFSA. When I got the papers for it my college told me not to worry b/c they had my transcript. When the school year ended I still had not gotten the grant so I sent my Fiancial aid advisor an email who responded and told me to send another email and she would forward it to someone else. Then another guy emailed me who said the Precollege curriculum did not qualify me. So I called FAFSA who told me to tell the school to call them to confirm it did qualify me. Then the college told me I didnt complete the precollege program. To make a long story short FAFSA my high school counselor and the department of Ed. said I have completed it. The head of financial aid told me that if my counsleor wants to send her a letter telling her what he THINKS the curriculum is she might give it to me for next year. Everyone from my school should get this so it would be a big lawsuit.

Do I have grounds for a lawsuit? Well first of all in order to receive the ACG you have to be pell eligible. So that may be another you might not receive it. You might also want to call the admissions office to make sure that they receive your final HS transcript because it sounds like the person you talked to was from admissions. It's not a lawsuit per say but it sounds like your college might be interpreting the bylaws of the ACG incorrectly.

Do I have grounds for a lawsuit? ok. just because you completed a precollege course. does not mean you met every colleges requirements to recieve that grant. every college has a different requirement when it comes to the ACG. You have no legal grounds for a lawsuit as the ACG is a federal grant and federal grants are need based determined by school.example:I fill out my fasfa and get back results of an efc of zero and i get a reward letter saying they will only give me half. I cant sue because there is no requirement that they give me full funds.Heres the thing about fasfa that most people dont get. The federal government has nothing to do with how much aid youll recieve they just give their opinion on how much aid you will recieve. Government might say 5000 and school gives you 2500.the most a acg grant is like 400 to 500
