I received a verification form from the university that i will be attending. Did i make a mistake on my FAFSA? What does this mean?

You do not need to make a mistake on your FAFSA to be selected for verification. 30% of all applications received are randomly selected for verification. Do not let this worry you. Submit the form and any other items requested as soon as you can. This is very routine.If the campus decided to select you specifically for verification, it is to clear up what appears to be conflicting information on you application.

No. The schools just randomly choose people for verification. My school just did it to me. Sometimes when you claim to be low-income on your schools financial aid form they will choose you for verification (you might have to provide last years tax information) so that they can verify that you do actually qualify for the fin. aid programs that you are applying for. I am in the middle of a verification right now, the good thing is that if you did make a mistake on either, they will correct it for you free of charge, as a courtesy, so that's really nice.
