| Financial aid denied while in school..? hello folks. I have a problem. I am attending college to take up echocardiography. Now, it's my 3rd week in school and last Wednesday, I got a call from the Financial Aid officer stating that I was denied of Financial Aid due to a defaulted student loan I currently have. I only owe 6,766.24 on the defaulted loan. Is there anyway to stay in school and find another way to get financial assistance through alternative ways? I was planning to get a loan to payoff the 6,766.24, but is there any other suggestion you possibly have out there. Please help.. thanks      |

| If your student loan is in default that means the federal government has it. You can call the company that has your loan, usually the Depart of Edu and set up a payment plan or pay it off totally. Only after that will they take it out of default. With the payment plan option it usually has to be 6 months of on time payments before they will. So you will most likely pick up the charge for this semester |
