You can do a basic first aid course, or a first aid at work course.
Contact the British red cross, St. Johns, or one of the many independent training agencies.
Normally it is a 4 - 5 day course.

Most employers will send you off to do a First Aid course anyway and even if you do study one before hand you probably will have to do a completly different one again depending on where you work, which age group etc.
