What do I need to know to take my First Aid?

Does anyone have a list of the things that you will be tested on when taking a first aid test? I want to do some research before I decide to go on a course, and it would be really helpful if I knew what things I should be concentrating on.
yes, I know you get taught all this stuff on the course. But I want to get an idea BEFORE. if you're not going to help me, then don't answer!

how to treat burns what do do if someone is choking because something is stuck in throat what to do if someone is in shock or having a fit how do deal with somoeone going into labour etc etc good luck hope you pass the test x

you do not need to know any thing , when you go to do first aid they teach you what to do, you are given a first aid book
after teaching you and you will need to do things hands on when you are learning, like cpr, bandaging , accidents every thing you need to know they will then test you at the end of the course of what you have learned, then you receive a certificate

Artifical respiration, Control of bleeding, Recovery Position. Symptoms of illness and shock.

- bandaging different situations.
-cpr is a main one.
and a lot of stuff you get taught on the day/ through a book.
