first aid help for a cut!!?

i cut my ring finger on a lino cutter (scalpel) 3 days ago and its still bleeding

the cut is deep and originally was pouring with blood for 2 or 3 minutes then calmed down still bleeding alot for about 10 minutes and now is bleeding like a mild cut apart from it isnt because it aches even when im not touching it

it has been covered with a plaster for the past 3 days because its very open and doesnt look like its heeling

what do you think i should do?
it is about an inch long
on the top third on the side
it was covered with a plaster because it was done at college and it meant i could carry on with my work

Sounds to late for first aid. Simple First aid requires you to clean the wound, disinfect or sterilize it, apply pressure and a clean wrap every few hours. If this has been going on for 3 days you are past the first aid step and need to see a nurse or a doctor.

I would be concerned with how I got the cut. You may have an infection and suffocating the wound for days likely did not help.

Why would you cover it with plaster?
