Why do i feel like this....i tell myself she's my friend :(?

There's a girl in my college class. at first we wern't really close but over time we got to know each other and we got pretty close.

She told me that she likes me, i was really shocked and didn't know how to respond to this as i thought i fancied her and she didn't know, but somehow we were fancing each other.

we got pretty far into our friendship and it got to the point where "reality" stepped in she said and that we cannot continue being this close again as it's not meant to be , and wouldn't work.

I accepted her friendship and when i saw her in person, my heart screamed for her i wanted to just be with her no matter what.

It's been two weeks since we stopped being so close, and my heart is beating faster and is feeling like its getting stabbed.

I only want the best for her, but i dont want to lose her. She means my world to me and i want to keep her.

Maybe it was love at first sight, either way i dont know why im feeling like this

any ideas?
I mean i know im not the prettiest guy in the world, and she says i am really pretty :]

but my feelings for her are true and i don't know what to do anymore.

Everytime im watching a movie, anime, music or anything that has a boy and girl realationship where they somehow fall in love reminds me of us.

I just want what is honestly best for her it's really confusing, feels like ive had an arrow through my heart.
