my friends are being stupid?

ok well i have 2 best freinds and this other friend well my other friend just got a boyfriend and she really likes him. and so my 2 best friends told my other friends boyfriend that she was going to break up with him. and he beleived them so he got all mad. until my friend told him it wasnt ture. now everyones mad at them should i be mad or should i just not really care or tell them what they did was really wrong and not be there friend???? What should i do im soooooooo confused!!!!!! HELP ME!!!
