do you think my friend, alex, has a crush on me?

everyone thinks my friend likes me. he'll like compliment me and everything, etc.

tonight we saw prom night & drillbit taylor with our friends and we sat next to each other. he wouldn't move when i got close to him, and during drillbit taylor i started to cry because i was just sad about some things that are going on in my life right now, and he kept asking me if i was okay and then hes like "i dont want to see you cry" and then he put his hand on me knee and was like "everything's gonna be okay, i promise" and before the movies we were seeing who could push the other, and he like wasnt even trying because he said he didnt want to hurt me. during drillbit taylor i could see out of the corner of my eye that he kept looking at me for like 10 seconds at a time- he'd do it like every 20-50 seconds. today at lunch my friends were like "go give alex (my friend) a hug" because they want us to go out, and when i did he immediately opened his arms and wrapped them around me.
i was talking about how i have a weird nose, and he's like "you have a perfect nose, stop saying that about yourself."
& like he looked directly into my eyes a lot because he wanted to see exactly what color they were and he smiled like everytime he looked into them. i dared him to sing a cute song, and he's like "okay, i'll sing a cute song for you." and he did, in public.
he's sleeping over at our friend's house right now, and he like immediately IMed me when they got home from the movie theater.
one time like 2 or 3 weeks ago i caught him saying i was really pretty.

he told me he liked this girl we go to school with like 3 weeks ago, and he told her he liked me so he wouldn't have to tell her it was her. idk if he still likes her, though.
