my friend died and he had no family what do I do with his vehicls.Who is

suppose to get them?
He passed away and I could only find others friends. No even wanted to help with his funeral. I took care of all the expenses. Still he had no ex-wives or children and his parent are deceased. Now I dont know what to do. I don't want them either.
he didn,t have a will. after we told him he might need one someday.
I am going to ask a lawyer today but I just want to know if someone out there has had this problem too.
