I have a friend, and she's really getting on my nerves.... what should I do?

I have this friend, and I try to keep her as my friend, but she started telling rumors about me, and now she likes the same guy that I do.What should I do? Here, read this, and then tell me if I should still have her as a friend. She came to my house, and she asked to play with my hamster, and the phone rang, and we were the only ones in the house, except my mom who was sleeping at the time, so I didn't want to wake my mom up, so I got the phone, and when I went back downstairs to the hamster room, I saw my friend holding my hamster by the tail!!!! My hamster was trying to get out, and she started to squeak, and then when I got kind of angry at my friend, she just said ' your hamster was mean to me''. Now, she likes the same guy that I do, and she's always pinching me, and she also told everyone that I got mad at her because I told her to hold my hamster by the tail, and she didn't want to but then I forced her, and that I was mean to my hamster! Should I still treat her as my friend?
