my friend sleeping with a baby daddy?!?

Ok, so I have this friend who has been sleeping with one of her old boyfriends. He has recently got a girl pregnant and been with her ever since, i think she is 5 months. Anyways, my girlfriend is worried if she has anything, in like the disease department. But I told her if the girl is pregnant, she shouldn't have anything or it should have been taken care of already. Is this true? I know she should go get checked out, but what do you think? She has been worrying me to death!
