Having a difficult time making friends?

In my late twenties, and I have no friends or even a girlfriend.

I don't go out often since I have no one else to go with. Don't like going out by myself, especially to bars or clubs.

I don't know what to do anymore. I've asked people from work but their not interested.

It seems like everyone my age already has their own group of friends. And most guys my age have already had girlfriends.

I don't have one maybe coz I'm so short. I hate this world.
