Friend keeps sending vague signals. Am I misinterpreting them?

We hug every time we see each other (in the hallways, greetings, lunch, when I get off the bus, etc.), he offers me his jacket when I'm cold, he talks about his life before he moved, he pokes and tickles me. We were walking up the stairs and he was poking me up and down my back. And other times, he just pokes my stomach for no reason. And lately he's been blocking me from bumping in to people by pushing me towards him. He doesn't mind when I have my arms around his waist and he usually leaves his arm on my shoulder if I do that.

But, when he has nothing to do on the bus (no music, psp, etc.), he talks/jokes around with me. When someone else is talking to him, he doesn't stop and ignore them. He just lets them do the talking. When we are with a group of friends (we all have the same friends), he tends to converse with them. But if we are alone, he will talk to me.
He kissed my cheek two weeks ago and then I kissed his last week, but he hasn't since.

Yesterday, we were walking back to class and he was leaning on my back with his arms around my shoulders and I was grasping his hands. Then a girl in my class said, "Aw, is he your boyfriend?" I shook my head 'no' and all he did was chuckle a bit.

But most guys wouldn't let a girl do this unless they liked her even a little bit, right?

yea he likes you i think...then again me and my best friend who is a guy constantly act goofy and grab each other but we dont like each other...i used to like him but i moved on ...Ask him ...maybe hell tell

you have to make the first move cause it seems like he likes you, but he aint gonna gonna make a move until you do.
if you like him then "YES" ask him out, dont avoid it cause you will regret it in the future!!!
