My husband has a girl that is just a friend?

My husband and I have been together for almost 4 years now. We have 2 children. Before him, I had been with a man that cheated on my constantly. My husband had a friend who he claims was just a friend. I went to a party with him when we first got together and his "friend" got tipsy. She started hanging on him and wispering in his ear. He ignored me the whole night and paid attention to her! I asked him a couple days after the party to choose. Maybe that was wrong but I felt very uncomfortable with how close they were. He chose me, we got married, and had 2 children. Three years later I find he has been talking to her. I asked him a couple months ago if he was and he told me no. Why is he hiding it? He calls her early in the morning on his way to work at least once a month. I know he isn't cheating, but I know she wants more. Do I have a right to be upset? And a side note, he called her on our wedding day and talked 1/2 hour, not being with me.
