Someone called my friend a name, and Im getting the blame for it. Help?

Someone called my friend a name, and Im getting the blame for it. Help?

Okay one of my friends has coined a rumor months ago calling one of my friends a "piece of poop". Only 3 people I know used this phrase. Myself, my sister, and her friend. Well some "secret source" told my friend that the girl was being called the "piece of poop" well since I used the phrase, but didn't invent it, im getting the blame for inventing it. This girl is annoying and like a leach, but Im not the one who started it. Any help?
