im bestfriends with my friend's mom?

is this weird cuz my friend is my neighbor and she went to her dads for winter break and her mom is really cool and we did everything together and still do and were like best friends shes like 25 but my friend told me yesterday that im a bitch and stuff for betraying her but id kshes very different from her mom and thats why i liek her mom best. how should i tell her? i still want to be her friend and dont want anything weird between us
