Should i stop being her friend?

my best friend and i have been bffs since 8th grade and now we are about to graduate from high school. But when college application season came around she became very compettitive with me by applying to every university i applied. She has a much better gpa than me so she knows she has a chance. But i think itsmy fault for encouraging her to go to a university cuz she was just going to go to a fashion institute instead. to this day we hang out but were so awkward esp. when our teachers asks us about college acceptance and scholarships. Not just that but she kicked me out of my own rocket team cuz she went to another girls team. pretty mean. but yet my team did much better. OVERALL our friendship is a competition. so idk what to do anymore?
well she doesnt know wat she wants to study she is undecided. and the other reason she became competitive is cuz her mum loves me and says that i do more than her own daughter so i think her mum is a source too? idk i try to keep all my stuff with me myself and i

a friendship should not be a competition. i have a friend just like that, you have to distance yourself from them cause then it just ruins you. A best friend encourages you to do your best, not challenges you.

But maybe she wants to do more than go to a fashoin institute. You should give her the credit for going there. But its not like theyre going to take her and not you.

well i think that you guys should still be friends but one thing that caught me was that she seems to want to do better than you so my thoughts are that she is wishing better for herself than for you which means that she is getting selfish. it is hard to say what you should do but i would still be friends with and be nice to her. because i dont kno about you but i am a forgiving person so if she was being mean to me i would talk to her about it and ask why she is bein mean lately. but it is really up to you wither you want to still be friends with her. but one thing is for sure "friends are always friends even if they say that they are not" dont freget that.
