How do I make friends with girls?

Im in high school, and I don't have any friends that are girls. I can say hi, but after that I don't know what to say. Also, is it a good idea to just go up to a girl and start talking to her, or will she be like, why are you talking to me?

Girls are really easy to be friends with. Just talk to them like they are boys. It will be taken well if you approach a girl and talk to her. All you need to do is say what you say to boys who are your friends. Just talk about whatever interests you and say what is on your mind. I am a girl and that is how I like to be treated by boys. Do not try to say something cool of really funny. It is really obvious when boys try to do that.

if they avoid you, and dont try and make conversation, then dont keep bugging them. chances are they're not interested.
