My husbands friend is coming for a vacation in April. Why am I unenthusiastic?

My husband is from Scotland and his good friend who I never met called us last fall and we invited him for a visit. That was October or so. He said he booked his trip for April 08. That was grand. I though perfect a mate of my husbands for him to hang with.

In December we were told that he is bringing his girlfriend with him! OK.... now that puts a spin on things.

I do not have vacation time to take off to entertain this bunch. With a girlfriend in the mix, I am not enthused. She is 23! I am 40.. I am not going to have freaking thing in common with her. I don't do bars and from the sounds of it they do!

How can I wrap my head around the idea of being enthusiastic about this? Because I am not. They will be here for 2 weeks! I don't have the money to do what they want.. including a trip to the Grand Canyon, San Franciso and Tijuana! ( I can't afford any of this ! )
