Is my friend being selfish?

So my "friend" I met last April is a guy, we used to hang out EVERYDAY. This new girl moved to town in November and all my guy friend did was hang out with her and not me (Im a girl too) Well later, I found out my guy friend has a crush on her, and he asked her out but she said she only wanted to be friends. So he doesn't hang out with her anymore but her and I are good friends. He moved across town so I hang out with her every day at school and after. So then HE gets mad at me for hanging out with after school even when he literally lives across town (We still go to same school). And we all sit together in a group in class and I was talking to her about the puppy I was getting and he got mad for us not 'including him' and I tried to but he said in a really faggy voice I DONT HAVE A DOG YET. And I don't know why he gets mad at me for being her friend, when everytime i try to talk to him, hes too busy with all his other friends.
