How do you tell a friend that she absolutely stinks?

To the point that it's uncomfortable being within a mile radius of her...no, but seriously...there's a girl I met at uni a few months ago and has since become a good friend. She's really sensitive so I need to tell her that she smells without hurting her feelings but haven't a clue how to tell her without upsetting her - she really is a lovely girl.

Any suggestions?
