I like a friends brother?

He is a junior in high school like me, and she is a sophomore, so a year younger than us. We both ride the same bus and she got me to go to their youth group a year and half ago, after I moved to this school. She was in the musical, and while she was I had the courage to talk to him, and he is a hard egg to crack, I think he was just being nice but some of my other friends swear he likes me, now the musical is over and with her on the bus again I have lost all courage to talk to him. Is it okay that I like a friends brother, and how do I get the courage to talk to him, even with her around?

start a conversation with both of them at the same time about a mutual topic all of you know about. It takes the pressure off of you because it's a group convo so it wouldn't be just you having to make the conversation. How long have you been trying to talk to him? If he's not talkative it means either a) he's super-shy around you and probably likes you or b) wants you to stop talking to him because he's not interested.
