How do you tell your good guy friend that you like him SOOO much?!?!?! I think

he likes me too!? My guy friend of 2 years and I have started flirting way more than usual the last 2 months. A while back, my friend had asked him if he liked me. It was very immature of her, and I did NOT want her doing it. I can handle it myself (we're in college for God's sake!). Anyway, she also showed signs of being jealous he gave me attention, and she would always put me down saying he was using me, he is a jerk, and that he doesn't like me. ALL my other friends said the COMPLETE opposite. Well, obviously she and I are not friends anymore. My guy friend knows only part of this story. He thinks I am mad since she asked him if he liked me. But he keeps asking me "what happend between you two? Why aren't u friends? Do you hate her? What did she do?" He won't let it go. I wanna tell him more than anything that I like him so much & care for him SO much. How do I break this to him w/o freaking him out? I think he likes me too. We talk bout 3hrs every night & text 10x a day haha.
