Feels like we've been friends forever, would I spoil it if I take the lead on...

...romance? I am attracted to a very nice, sensible young man. It was like-at-first-sight. Now 8 months later, we hang out a lot for dinner etc, he calls almost everyday, we have lots of eye contact, we laugh a lot, I have dinner with him and his business associates. He confides some major stuff in me. No sex but the tension is driving me crazy. (We spent a glorious beach weekend together with no sexual contact!) I'm guessing he like me too. But we have said nothing about our relationship except that we are friends. I want to be more open about my feelings for him and guage his feelings too, but I don't want to ruin the magic we have so far. Should i let him take the lead on this or should I take the risk?
