I am looking for friends for my 3 year old girl?

Besides the ones @ daycare. I don't know the parents and it is too far from home. I work almost full time but am avail during the week maybe one or two days for play dates. How do I meet people whom have kids her age? Most programs are geared for stay @ home moms, not working ones. She so wants a "friend" to play with when we are home on my days off. Tonight we are going to Mc Donalds for children time 5-7pm. Any other ideas??? I don't know many people with kids her age. I'm an older mom 43 and would like to have something in common with the ladies too.
