I can't hang out with my friends anymore..?

I just started high school and I met new friends and everthing, when my friends invite me over to the movies or anything my parents never send me out. My dad told me today that If I ever have to go out with my friends to the movies or w.e he said that he'll come along if hes free and when he's not free, he told me to tell my friends that I am busy. I seriously dont want my parents being so overprotective of me. I want to hang out with my friends and have fun not have my stupid dad come along with us. My mom is an idiot, all she wants me to do is sit home all day and study. She freaks out when my friends call. My brothers go everywehre they want and they dont even tell my parents where they are going and they come home late at night and my parents dont even care, but for me they freak when I tell them I am going to the movies or the mall and they always stop me last minute. I dont know what to do cuz I want to have fun in my teenage year not be overprotected.I need help.
