We have been friends since we were 1. We are in high school and he is single, cute, funny, nice, sweet, and kinda sexy. I love him alot. and I am really the only person he hangs out with and talk alot with. But I we have something later, and we break up, that will ruin everything!!! should we stay friends forever so i wont loose him or take my chances and date him. Please help!

It's a tough choice. I'm speaking as someone who has dated their best friend and lost his friendship in the process, but here's why it's tough- we had an amazing friendship before we were dating, but we had an even stronger, deeper friendship while we were dating. Even though, after breaking up and eventually moving on to other relationships, we barely speak, I would never trade the time we had together as a couple for anything in the world. The choice is yours- you can go on with your current relationship and always wonder what might have been, or you can become a couple and possibly be with the love of your life, but at the price of your friendship. Ultimately, it comes down to this- what matters more to you, friendship or love?
