How to see my friend's names colored on Windows Live Messenger?

How to see my friend's names colored on Windows Live Messenger?

I just got a new computer and reinstalled Windows Live Messenger. I remember on my old computer that my friend's names could be colored. Now, on this computer, they show up as [c= blah blah blah ] Name [/c] I remember on my old computer i had to find a setting so I can see the names colored and not in that annoying jumble but I cant seem to find it on this dowloaded version.

It says I have Windows Live Messenger Version 2008 [Build 8.5 1202. 1018]

Can anyone help me? I'm really frustrated. Lol!
