How come alot of times Hispanic people are only friends with other Latinos?

How come alot of times Hispanic people are only friends with other Latinos?

It really frustrates me. Why can't we just move beyond race and totally get rid of it without even thinking about someone's ethnicity or skin color? We are all human beings, all equal, and no different from one another.
(by the way, thats why we need Barack Obama as president)
