| Questions about Adam's genealogy? Why does it begin with Seth? Why are Cain and his wife left out of Adam's genealogy? Weren't they also Adam's children? Cain's wife was also his little sister, right? Or where did she come from? Are we not all descendants of Adam? |

| The genealogies in the Bible track descendants, not family. And the early part of the Bible follows the patriarchs and so the next generation patriarch after Adam was Seth. Yes, Adam's family would have to intermarried (sibling to sibling) in order for them to produce any offspring. |
