Why does history make Noah's Flood impossible?

The Flood is very possible, seeing as in many cultures there are stories and tales about a big flood that covered the earth, and of a boat that sailed that carried many animals and a few people to repopulate the earth.Could it be that man's dating could be wrong?

it doesn't...it was 4400BC...dating is unreliable...i am surprised an apologetics used such a thing...how does mud spewed by mt. st. helen 1980 have the same sedimentary "chart" that mud that is suppose be billions of years old...

It IS possible for Humans to be wrong! But if God's HAND is in it, I'd have to say that somewhere along the lineage, man has blotched it up! Sorry, but we just don't have all the right answers. I know that I have to go with what works in life, and what I'm witnessing now on Earth IS NOT WORKING! Something has gone out of sinc, and I DO know that earlier times prior to this half century worked quite well. Even though man still tried to disrupt the normal ebb. But now, if something is not done soon, we will continue the descension and degradation of a great nation and a once thriving world. Instead of searching for errors, shouldn't be be trying to re-discover what worked and what the causations are that are steering us in the wrong direction, and make the proper corrections to safeguard us into the next generation? It's long past time to get beyond this "ME" generation and come to the realization that we're all here for each other, and the betterment of man and not just for the temporary thrill of the day!

We're supposed to ignore the mountains of legitimate, credible scientific evidence in favor of the delusional ramblings of primitive, uneducated, superstitious, sheep herders that have been poorly translated over and over again for tens of centuries. Makes perfect sense.
