Mike Timlin Ancestry? Boston Red Sox?

Hello, My mothers maiden name is Timlin and that is really not a last name you hear everyday. Everytime my mom,grandfather, or grandmother see Mike Timlin of the Boston Red Sox they say thats our Timlin! We think he is a close relative because we have an ancestor who came over from Ireland with his brothers and my grandfather thinks his grandfather stayed here and the others went to some place else. Is there any ancestry on Mike Timlin? Parents... anything! We really love finding Timlins. And i love genealogy Thanks so muchP.S. The only thing I can find is that he graduated from HS in Midland TX and went to Southwestern University in Georgetown TX. So it's a fair guess that his parents live in Midland and that if you look up the old online archives of the Midland newspaper, you'll probably find some stories about him and his parents. The best I can find is a Texas Birth Index listing them as Jerome Frances Timlin and Nancy Sharon Beyer .
