Ideas on a unique business statistics research topic??

Here is the project... I am trying to come up with a unique topic for a statistical research paper. I specialize in tax, but it could also relate to home or school as well... Any good ideas?

The Project – To meet the class competency of understanding and applying statistics used in the business world, you will identify a current problem, create a hypothesis for a solution, collect data to support or discount the hypothesis, and analyze the data to infer a course of action for the problem. It is preferred that a scenario from your current place of work be used for the project, however, a problem from home or school may also be used in place of a work scenario. The final paper is due week 10 in class with (short) presentations covered during week 11.

Course Objectives Covered -
• Describe common types of data numerically and graphically.
• Interpret, identify, and compute measures of central tendency and measures of dispersion.
• Interpret, identify, and compute measures of association.
• Understand and apply the basic concepts of probability and randomness.
• Identify and use the characteristics of the normal probability distribution, the Central Limit Theorem, and the Law of Large Numbers.
• Understand confidence intervals and perform tests of hypotheses for inferences involving one or two populations.
