Graphic designer work environment and employment opportunities.?

It depends on the company. Graphic design is competitive, though, because there are SO many of them out there. Good luck finding a job in that field.

If you have really solid CAD, computer, and marketing base, you won't have a hard time finding a job in a big city that pays around $23-$27 per hour. In a small town, it'll be really rough - maybe a better side job in cities with less than 250,000 folks.
