Are there any on-line career opportunities?

Are they all a scam, or do any of them actually pay off? Which ones do I avoid, which ones are legit?

There are some that are scams like data entry, and survey's they are different than you think (very misleading).
But I have experienced over time that if you learn the marketing from a mentor and take the appropriate action any home business online such as network marketing can really pay of for the term.

Well if you mean ones where you work off of the internet, you have to be careful because some of them are scams. I have joined a program called surveylion where you do surveys online for money and I actually received a cheque that didn't bounce. If you mean real jobs off of the internet there are ones like monster.com, workopolis, canada job bank etc.

There are a lot of things to be careful of out there. For example, look to see if the companies you are researching have a legitimate product they market. There are businesses that make their money when you bring someone into the business for a ridiculous fee.
