employment - can employers still require residency in a certain county?

(I am a US citizen - State of Ohio.) I thought I read in the newspaper, in the last six months, that employers could no longer "require" residency in a certain county. Does anyone know? Does anyone know the case I am referring to? Thanks!

Yes, police officers, firefighters and city workers are required to live in the same city/county that they work in.
